Nests

I’ve been working on this series for decades, including painting nests in oil, acrylic, encaustic, mixed media, and constructing models of Robin and Weaver bird nests to better understand avian architecture. Besides being structurally beautiful and lending themselves to line drawing, they are also temporary homes built of debris.
